Being president of a textile manufacturer company formed in 1945, Chiel Industries,  Lee expanded her reach into the chemicals and fashion industries. In 2011, Chiel Industries bought the Italian leather brand Colombo via della Spiga. On top of all that, she merged her company with Samsung Everland and Samsung SDI before finally going public in 2014.

Doing this made it possible for Chiel Industries to become the leaders in energy storage solutions. Her company also became involved in manufacturing specialty materials to make smartphones, TVs, batteries for cars, and electronics. To add to the list of many things Lee’s company does, it also manages and owns several theme parks, resorts, miscellaneous businesses and hospitality services.
