Who owns 600 magazines, 400 digital products, and 50 TV and radio stations? Only the owner of Bauer Media, 38 year old Yvonne Bauer. Ludolph Bauer, a lithographer, originally started the company back in 1875, and five generation later, Yvonne Bauer came to owning and running it.

Yvonne wasn’t just handed the title though, she had to work to own it. She graduated from the University of Bamberg in German philology and then interned with publishing out Hoffman and Campe. She was able to join Bauer Media in 2005 and only just took over in 2010 when her father gave her 85% of the company.
