Who holds the “Youngest Self-Made Billionaire in the World” title? Elizabeth Holmes does. She dropped out of Stanford University her sophomore year and ended her pursuit of a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering to start a blood testing company. The money she had saved up to use on the rest of her education was instead used on her current company, Theranos.

Theranos is currently valued at $9 billion. It tests bloods at the small cost of commercial labs. Elizabeth was able to raise $400 million from venture capitalists which allows her company to be valued at $9 billion. With a 50% stake in her company, it brings her net worth to $4.6 billion.
