This is the “Underwater River,” also known as “Cenote Angelita Cave” which can only be accessed by skilled divers. There are trees and plants which appear to grow out of the “river,” but it is just an optical illusion. A cloud of hydrogen sulfide interacting with the saltwater is the one causing it.
